Shopify Integration

Who is this for?

This quickstart is for Shopify merchants who want to enable Paysight’s custom checkout and payment orchestration. No technical skills required!

What You Need Before You Start

  • Admin access to your Shopify store
  • Paysight account (ask your onboarding manager if you don’t have one)
  • Access to your store’s domain/DNS management
  • (Optional) Store logo (PNG, 512x512px recommended)
  • (Optional) Tracking IDs (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.)

Integration Steps

Grant Paysight Access

  • Share your Shopify store URL with your Paysight onboarding manager.
  • Find your 4-digit collaborator code in Shopify: Settings > Users and permissions > Collaborator request code.
  • Approve the access request from Paysight in your Shopify admin panel.

Create a Shopify App for Paysight

  • Go to Shopify Admin → Apps → Develop apps.
  • Click Create an app and name it “Paysight Integration”.
  • Set permissions for products, orders, and customers (Paysight will specify which ones).
  • Click Install app.
  • Copy the Admin API access token and send it securely to Paysight.
    The access token is shown only once. Save it securely!

Connect Your Store Domain

  • Get your custom subdomain from Paysight (e.g., checkout.yourstore.com).
  • Add DNS records (CNAME and TXT) provided by Paysight in your domain provider’s dashboard.
  • If you need help, Paysight can guide you or do it for you if you provide access.
  • Notify Paysight when you’re done. Paysight will verify and secure your checkout page.

Optional) Add Tracking Integrations

  • Send your Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Adwords, or Facebook Pixel IDs to Paysight.
  • Paysight will set these up for checkout tracking and conversions.

Brand & Subscription Setup

  • Brand profile: Paysight will set up your brand using your store name, logo, and support email.
  • Send your logo (PNG, 512x512px) if you have one.
  • Subscription product: Tell Paysight about your subscription product (name, price, trial period, renewal frequency).
  • Paysight will configure it and send you a summary to review.

Add Paysight Checkout Script

  • Add the script to Shopify:
  • Get your custom script from Paysight.
    • Go to Online Store → Themes → Actions → Edit code
    • Open theme.liquid
    • Paste the script just before </head>
    • Paysight will show you exactly where to paste it if you need help.
  • Test the checkout: Add a product to your cart and go to checkout.
  • You should be redirected to your new Paysight custom checkout page.

Go Live!

  • Paysight will confirm everything is working.
  • Make a test purchase to check the full flow.
  • Once confirmed, your store is live with Paysight’s advanced checkout and payment features.

Troubleshooting & Support

Having trouble?

If checkout doesn’t redirect or you see errors, remove the script and contact Paysight Account Manager.
  • DNS changes can take up to an hour to update—wait a bit if things aren’t working right away.
  • For questions or help, reach out to your Paysight Account Manager

Will my normal Shopify checkout change?
  • Yes, customers will use a new checkout page powered by Paysight for more options and features.
Can I switch back to Shopify checkout?
  • Yes, just remove the Paysight script from your theme.
