Connecting Stripe to Paysight requires Stripe to enable the appropriate account capabilities before the integration can be configured and tested. The exact requirements depend on the payment methods and Paysight services you plan to use.
The full Stripe integration guide, request templates, and PCI DSS files are available only to authorised users in the Paysight Documents Library. Sign in to Paysight before opening these links.

Before you begin

Make sure you have:
  • An active Paysight account with access to the Documents Library and Merchant Accounts
  • Administrator access to your Stripe account
  • Permission to contact Stripe Support on behalf of your organisation
  • Permission to create merchant accounts in Paysight
  • A clear understanding of whether you will process Apple Pay or Google Pay, or use chargeback alert services

Integration steps

1

Review the gated Stripe guide

Open Enable Stripe on Paysight in the Paysight platform. It contains the complete instructions, request templates, supporting information, and answers to common questions from Stripe.
2

Request Raw Card Data API access

Contact Stripe Support and request the account capability required for Paysight to submit payments to Stripe. Follow the wording and evidence requirements in the gated guide.Stripe may require PCI DSS evidence as part of its review. Authorised users can obtain the supporting files from the Documents Library:
3

Enable wallet payment support if required

If you plan to process Apple Pay or Google Pay through Paysight, ask Stripe to enable its Bring Your Own Network Token (BYO-NT), also known as External Network Tokens, functionality. Use the request template in the gated guide.
4

Request chargeback programme identifiers if required

If you will use Paysight or Resolvo for chargeback prevention and alert management, request the Stripe merchant identifiers needed for Verifi and Ethoca programme enrolment. These identifiers may only become available after the Stripe account has processed a successful live transaction. The gated guide explains what to request and how to respond to common follow-up questions.
5

Create your Stripe merchant account in Paysight

Once Stripe confirms the required capabilities, open Create Merchant Account in Paysight and complete the setup:
  1. Select Stripe as the gateway and choose the account currency.
  2. In the Stripe Dashboard, go to Developers > API Keys, reveal the appropriate secret key, and enter it in the Secret Key field in Paysight.
  3. Complete the merchant details and remaining configuration, then select Create Merchant Account.
Use a live key beginning with sk_live_ for production. Test keys beginning with sk_test_ only process simulated payments. Enter the key directly in Paysight and never share it by email or expose it publicly.New merchant accounts may take up to five minutes to activate before they are ready for testing.
