Checkout Subscription controls how subscription enrollment appears in checkout and whether checkout behaves as a subscription purchase or a straight sale.
Find this module in Shopify Stores > Edit Checkout > Subscriptions.

How it works

Use this module for the customer-facing subscription name, cart display, terms placement, acceptance requirements, and subscription terms copy.

Settings reference

You will set: On/off switchHides subscription enrollment and runs checkout as a one-time purchase.
You will set: Text fieldThe subscription title customers see in checkout and related payment/order context.
You will set: Number fieldThe price shown for the subscription in the cart summary.
You will set: On/off switchShows the subscription as a visible cart line.
You will set: Image uploadUploads the PNG or JPEG thumbnail shown beside the subscription line item in the checkout cart. This field appears when Show subscription in cart is enabled. Paysight hosts the uploaded image for checkout.
You will set: On/off switchStarts the subscription checkbox unchecked when customers arrive at checkout.
You will set: Placement selectorWhere the subscription terms and checkbox appear in checkout.
You will set: On/off switchPrevents payment until visible subscription terms are accepted.
You will set: On/off switchHides subscription terms and checkbox on mobile devices.

Enable Straight sale checkout when the checkout should not enroll customers into subscription behavior.

Before saving

  • Confirm subscription terms copy with the client.
  • Preview the uploaded subscription cart image on desktop and mobile.
  • Test mobile and desktop visibility.
  • Do not hide terms on a viewport where acceptance is required.
